The 2025 Graham Owners Club International annual meet will be hosted by the NW Region and will be held on the week of July 20-27 in Sandpoint, Idaho.
From USA today, Travel article “10 picture-perfect mountain towns”: Sandpoint, Idaho Sandpoint's Lake Pend Oreille reflects the rugged Selkirk and Cabinet mountains, doubling their visual impact. It's the perfect backdrop for a small town that's big on local culture. From wineries and breweries to the arts—Sandpoint is home to major music and film festivals—this little township is a vibrant, happening haven in the wilds of northern Idaho.
From Okju and Erwin after spending time in North Idaho for more than 30 years: For the majority of people (and not just in the USA) Idaho means potatoes. Well, Sandpoint is about 500 miles away from the Snake River plains where most of these potatoes come from. Idaho is over 70% public lands, ranks 44th in the US in population density at 22.3 people per square mile (less than 2 million Idahoans) and is the 11h largest state. About half of the population lives in and around Boise, the rest is sparsely populated. It has one of the worst cell phone coverages because it is mostly mountains and very remote. In the Idaho Panhandle, besides mountains, we have lakes and rivers. Local economy is driven by timber and tourism. We will have activities to get to know these wilds of northern Idaho without having to go on a weeklong backpacking trip, understand its history and the importance of the timber industry. And we will drive, talk about and admire Graham cars of course. Before or after the meet, there are many activities and places that can be enjoyed. The Festival at Sandpoint, a music extravaganza, is held at the end of July, beginning of August. This time of the year is great to visit Glacier National Park (four hours away), the ancient Missoula Flood path (it came through town), Wallace Idaho and its Blues Festival, drive the Selkirk International Loop or the rolling hills of the Palouse, enjoy days of white water rafting on the “River of no Return” (Salmon), take a jet boat tour of Hells Canyon on the Snake River, hike to secluded mountain lakes, fish for record breaking lake trout, spend some time riding horses in one of many “Dude Ranches” or just sit back, enjoy the view and relax. https://visitsandpoint.com
