When we were up in Brockville our Great Lakes Region had the most members present at the meet more so than any other region. Everybody wore their new shirts on Wednesday evening when we hosted the hospitality room. We discussed having our fall meet in Auburn labor day weekend.  Burkholders and Strykers volunteered to make the arrangements.  The Auburn-Cord-Duesenberg festival is really something to see and we were not sure how many of our members have ever attended this big event.  

Arrangements have been made for rooms at Don Hall's Guest House for Friday August 30 and Saturday August 31.

This is the same hotel where we had the 2017 National Meet. It is located 19 miles south of Auburn and is convenient to Interstate I-69.  Hotels and motels are already booked full in Auburn.  We have seven rooms blocked for Graham Club and they will hold these rooms for us until July 31st. We also reserved the Solarium room for Friday & Saturday evenings beginning at 7PM for dinner. We will have our business meeting on Saturday after dinner.

The Strykers will have a large tent and vendor space in the swap meet as they do every year. A smaller tent with tables and chairs will be provided for our Great Lakes Region members who need to stop in for a visit and rest.  There is so much going on and it actually begins on Wednesday August the 28th.  Collector car auction, car coral, swap meet, and many food vendors are on hand at the Auction Park.  On Saturday we will go to see the Auburn-Cord-Duesenberg Club car show in Eckhart Park followed by the parade of classics through the town of Auburn. Following the parade we will go back to the Auction Park for more of the swap meet and car auction. It is advisable to bring lawn chairs for the parade of classics.

Come early or stay late but I only blocked rooms for Friday and Saturday nights per our usual regional meets.

Rooms are $99 plus tax and includes a big breakfast in the dining room.
